The workshop
XOXO Audio Labs makes custom, low-volume audio hardware and IEMs. We design and build in small runs, write the software that goes with it, and take on custom builds and mods for people who want something nobody else has.
About the creator
Patrick Weaver
Open source. No gatekeeping. Always.
That's the rule here. Everything XOXO Audio Labs releases is open source, with the parts list and the steps to build it yourself. Nobody should need permission, or a secret handshake, to learn how their gear works.
I've spent my working life where audio and tech meet. It started with live events in Orlando: production manager for Ignition, the weekly night at Firestone, then managing events and rigging lighting, LED panels, sound and truss.
From 2015 to 2020 I was at Jerry Harvey Audio (JH Audio). I started in the lab, closing, checking and repairing universal in-ear monitors, then ran the repairs department, built and looked after the company's Windows workstations, and moved to CAD/CAM: shaping scanned ear impressions in 3Shape and Cyfex, and working the SLA, DLP and extrusion 3D printers and 5-axis CNC machines.
After that came contract CAD/CAM, production and audio engineering work, and then cloud and IT support: Dell ProSupport, and nearly five years at Pax8, from the service desk to vendor escalations to partner support engineer. Now I'm studying for a computer science degree at Full Sail University, and building XOXO Audio Labs.
